Google appears to be preparing a new framework for letting the Pixel launcher search bar surface content from your Android apps.
Google’s expansion of AI Mode continues today with an integration into the Search bar on Android devices. Tapping the bar at the bottom of the Pixel Launcher reveals a fullscreen interface that is (unfortunately) mostly unchanged.
The “Google app for desktop” first arrived on Windows in a beta form last September. It was pretty rough at first, and Google couldn’t even update the early versions of the app, forcing users to uninstall and reinstall new builds. That won’t be a concern with the official release, which brings assorted search capabilities to your Windows PC.
Experimenting with the latest beta version of the Google app, we were able to see a refreshed Search Live interface.
